For most of the last two months before the election, almost nobody that I knew or talked to had any doubts at all about the outcome. And maybe, just maybe, this will make people around the world think again about America, and what it stands for, and truly appreciate Obama's words in his acceptance speech - "If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible ... tonight is your answer"

Well, if it's any consolation, isn't it slightly better than being right?
(on second thoughts, that ISN'T very consoling....but still...)
